FUNDAMENTAL SPILL PREVENTION
The SPILLGUARD attaches directly to the air exhaust of an AODD pump. When a diaphragm fails, the leaked process fluid is captured in an internal receptacle within the SPILLGUARD unit. As the fluid level rises, a float inside the unit is lifted, which triggers a pneumatic actuator. This actuator immediately shuts off the air supply to the pump, stopping it from operating and preventing any further leakage.
NOTE: Due to the smaller capacity of the SPILLGUARD, a minimal amount of fluid (<100mL) may escape through the muffler before pump shutoff occurs.
