SurgeShield™ Pulsation Dampeners
Pulsation Dampener and ASME Certified Surge Vessel

Standard 15, 25, and 37 gallon dampener series are designed to act as shock absorbers for your peristaltic pumps while also serving as small, standardized bladder surge vessels. Prevent pipe and pump damage as well as costly repairs with these durable buffers against the damaging effects of water hammer and pulsation from any large positive displacement pumps.

Product shown with optional support legs.

PROTECT YOUR PUMP SYSTEM

Pulsation occurs in all positive displacement pump systems, the magnitude of which is determined by changes in fluid velocity (pump speed), type of pump, and pipe diameter. Transient events can happen during pump start-up or shut-down and rapid opening/closing of valves; often referred to as “surge” or “water hammer.” Water hammer and Pulsation can cause catastrophic system damage such as pump and valve deterioration, pipeline failure, and loss of system control—all of which cost time and money to repair.

SurgeShield Vessels are an essential component in your pump system. Their primary function is to absorb or release the energy that results from these events, offering long-term protection that can save significant repair and replacement costs.
